Why we make Picqer

A warehouse is a fascinating place. So many actions, so many products, so much calm and chaos at the same time. In a warehouse you’re disconnected from the outside world. You have no idea what’s happening outside, how busy your customers are or how much you're being talked about. The only thing you see is a stream of new orders to collect and ship. It’s one of the best environments to get into a productive flow.

It’s unfortunate that most 'enterprise' warehouse software is so confusing and clunky that it pulls you out of that flow. In many warehouses, we see software working against people instead of supporting them. We want to change that.

We aim to create the best software imaginable for warehouse teams. An online tool that genuinely helps in your daily tasks. Something you can use to collaborate with your colleagues, keep your customers informed, and always know what needs to be done and what has already been completed.

Our goal is also to make order processing as efficient as possible. Not because we think 'efficiency' is an end in itself like an MBA might, but because when we reduce administrative tasks to a minimum, you can spend that saved time on more meaningful work. Delivering more orders in a day or giving more attention to the order or the customer, instead of its administration. Some of our users have reduced their time spent on administration per order from 30–45 minutes to just a few minutes. All with a Picqer account they set up themselves—without the need for expensive consultants. That’s what makes us happy.

Since we introduced Picqer to the world in November 2012, the response has been overwhelming. Based on the feedback, we seem to have built exactly what people were looking for. And this is just the beginning. We still have many great ideas for Picqer. More integrations, more joy, more clarity.

We make Picqer because we believe warehouses deserve better and simpler automation. And we truly enjoy seeing our users happy. That’s what drives us.
