Scanning barcodes with your camera
The Picqer app scans barcodes with your phone's camera when your device has no built-in barcode scanner. Tap the barcode icon at the top right of the screen. The camera opens, and closes again as soon as it has scanned a barcode.
If your device has a built-in barcode scanner, you won't see the icon and you scan with that scanner instead. See supported devices and barcode scanners for the devices we support.
Screens with the barcode icon
The barcode icon sits at the top right of these screens:
- Products, a product and a product's stock locations
- Picklists and a picklist
- A batch and its 'Link containers' screen
- Locations and a location
- Purchase orders
- A receipt
- A movement, while collecting and putting away
- A stock count and the count per location, until the count is completed
- Containers and a container
- Replenish advice
While picking and collecting, the icon also appears in the window of the product you are picking. On a product's stock locations, it appears in the 'Link location' window.
