VAT in Picqer
When a product is imported into Picqer, we determine the VAT and price. The VAT and price are calculated based on the VAT rate in the webshop or the webshop setting in Picqer. The method of calculation varies per webshop.
Example (Shopify): Suppose product X is listed in the webshop with a price of €10 including VAT. Picqer then imports product X from the webshop. We calculate the price excluding VAT by subtracting 21% (the most common VAT group - webshop setting) from €10. In this case, the price imported into Picqer is €8.26 with a VAT rate of 21%.
Magento - Magento2 - Shopify - WooCommerceVAT is determined based on the webshop setting in Picqer called “most used VAT group.” Only standard VAT groups are available for selection:

Bol.comWhen importing a product, we use the VAT group set in the webshop settings in Picqer. You can choose from the VAT groups configured in Picqer’s VAT settings. If no VAT group is found, we use the default VAT group configured in the Picqer account.
Manual adjustments or product import
If you want to adjust the VAT rate after the initial import, you can do so per product or via a product import. For manual adjustments, you can select from the VAT groups defined in the general settings.
During a product import, you can modify the VAT group column. You can select one of the configured VAT groups. If the column is empty or contains a non-existent VAT group, the default VAT group from the VAT settings will be applied.
VAT on orders
When importing an order from the webshop, we use the VAT provided per product by the webshop. If that VAT group does not exist in Picqer, the system automatically creates the VAT group and assigns it to that product for the order. You will also see this group later under the general settings ‘VAT groups’.
