What are picklists?
When a new order is created (manually or automatically), Picqer checks if the products can already be shipped (partially). If so, a picklist is generated. This picklist is essential for collecting your products in the warehouse.
To-do list
A picklist is essentially a to-do list for an order. It shows the products (product codes and names) and quantities you need to ship. The picklist also shows which customer the order is for, the order date, the weight and which warehouse the products will be picked from.
With a picklist, you can gather the products for your order, in other words, “pick orders.” Your picklist is crucial because if it’s not handled accurately and completely, errors can occur. For example, your customer might receive the wrong product, or a stock difference occurs in the warehouse.
The difference between picklists and packing slips
Picklists are often confused with packing slips. However, there’s a difference: a picklist is used internally to collect the products. A packing slip is a document sent to the customer to indicate what’s included in the package.
