Enable Prepaid Import Fees for PostNL UK Shipments

As a result of Brexit, PostNL ‘Rest Of World’ products shipped to the United Kingdom may experience delays due to import fees that have to be calculated at customs. Therefore PostNL has introduced a new product (product code 4905) where the webshop pays the import duties to PostNL in advance. This helps these shipments clear customs faster, and the consumer doesn't have to pay administrative fees.

To use this product, you will need to contact your PostNL account manager as you will require separate account details. You can then add a new PostNL shipping provider integration in Picqer for 'special products'.

When setting up the profile, select the product with product code 4905, and under 'Trusted Shipper ID', enter your EORI number. This number is required for this product.

For shipments using this product, it is also required that the recipient’s email address or phone number is provided in the order.
