Frequently Asked Questions about Sendcloud

What amount is used for insured shipping?

When you send a package insured via Sendcloud, Picqer will provide the total purchase value of the products to Sendcloud. If a product does not have a purchase value, Picqer will use the sales price. For virtual assemblies, we use the value of the assembly, not the individual components.

DHL labels are larger than A6 size, are they automatically resized?

No, when you choose DHL labels with a non-standard size, you will need to use longer labels in your printer. Picqer does not resize to A6, as scaling could make barcodes unreadable.

I get the error message "Invalid shipment.id". What does this mean?

In most cases, the address is not valid for the selected shipping method. For example, if you are trying to send a package to Germany using a shipping method that is only allowed within the Netherlands.

Which profile should I select in Picqer for shipments to a pickup point?

When we receive a pickup point via the SendCloud plugin in your shop, the correct method is automatically selected. It doesn't matter which SendCloud profile you use in Picqer to create the shipment. The options in the profile are ignored.

At this time, it is not possible to choose a specific carrier method. The first method provided by SendCloud that is suitable for the weight of the pick list is used to send the shipment to the pickup point.

Why are pickup locations only supported in Shopify Plus stores?

The way Sendcloud has integrated the location finder in the checkout is only available in Shopify Plus stores. When you install the Sendcloud plugin there, the selected pickup points are automatically recognized by Picqer.

If you use the Sendcloud plugin in a regular Shopify store, the pickup point is only saved after payment in the order. However, by that time the order has already been processed in Picqer. As a result, the location data does not come through to Picqer.
