Two-factor Authentication (2FA)

With two-factor authentication, your Picqer account is extra secure, making it harder for others to gain access to your account.

After setting up two-factor authentication, you can only log in using the access code shown in an Authenticator app on a trusted device (such as your phone).

To use two-factor authentication, you need an Authenticator app. For example, you can download and install Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone.

Setting up two-factor authentication

Log in with your user account.

Go to your profile.

In your profile, under the two-factor authentication section, click the Enable link.

Open the Authenticator app, click Scan QR code or + and scan the QR code.

Can't scan the QR code? Then manually enter the secret key displayed below the QR code.

Enter the 6-digit verification code shown in the Authenticator app.

Two-factor authentication is now enabled.

Logging in with two-factor authentication

When you have enabled two-factor authentication, you will be asked for a 6-digit verification code during login. Use the code displayed in the Authenticator app.

Can't log in?

If you can no longer use the Authenticator app during login, ask the administrator to (temporarily) disable two-factor authentication for your account.

Are you the only administrator and can't log in? Please contact support@picqer.com.

Disabling two-factor authentication

When you are logged in, you can also disable two-factor authentication in your Picqer profile.

User overview for administrators

As a Picqer administrator, you can see which users have enabled two-factor authentication. This is visible in the user overview.

Two-factor authentication in user overview

As an administrator, you can also disable two-factor authentication for other users. This allows you to restore access for users who are locked out of their account.
