Picqer introduces AutoSplit

To make fulfilling orders from multiple warehouses easy and efficient, we’re introducing AutoSplit. With AutoSplit, orders are automatically split across warehouses when this leads to faster delivery.

As more webshops ship from multiple warehouses—and not all products are stocked in every location—the need for AutoSplit became clear. But of course, we made sure to keep it super simple. That’s why AutoSplit is just a single toggle: on or off. Picqer takes care of the rest.

You can also specify which warehouses may be used to fulfill orders. This can be set per order, per webshop, or sent via the API. AutoSplit will then choose the most efficient warehouse combination based on your selection.

And we’ve got even more new features:

Filter by warehouse

Because AutoSplit will lead more users to work across multiple warehouses, you can now filter orders, picklists, backorders and purchase orders by warehouse. Select the warehouse you’re working in and avoid distractions from what your colleagues are doing elsewhere.

Stock settings per warehouse

You can now set stock preferences per warehouse when editing a product. This lets you define reorder levels and desired stock quantities for each individual location.

You can also define minimum order quantities and purchase multiples for each product. The purchase advice will automatically take these into account, giving you one less reason to manually adjust it.

Transfers

Another feature especially useful for multi-warehouse operations: transfers. Create a transfer and add all products you want to move from one warehouse to another. Gather the items in your current warehouse and move them with one click.

Picqer can also generate a transfer recommendation. It will suggest which products are best to move to fulfill backorders or better meet your stock settings.

Other improvements

Here’s a quick overview of some smaller updates included in this release:

  • You can no longer close a picklist if not all products have been picked (to prevent missed items)
  • New report added showing the number of picklists processed (useful for fulfillment companies that charge by the picklist)
  • Fixed bug in ‘Register products’
  • Fixed issue when scanning one picklist while another was active
  • Fixed error in automatic language selection for purchase orders
