New to the team: Frank, Arjan, Noa, Martijn & Jodie

This quarter, we’ve welcomed five new colleagues to Picqer. With their arrival, we’ve strengthened all our teams: Support, Development, Marketing, and Sales. They’re happy to introduce themselves:

Frank Leemhuis

Frank

Hi, my name is Frank Leemhuis. I joined Picqer in April and would love to introduce myself. So, Frank—born in Nijmegen, raised in Huissen, and living in Velp for the past 12 years. I live there with Armanda, Jonathan (8 years old, rugby star and unbeatable at Mario Kart), and Fabiënne (6 years old, queen of the house and certified chaos agent). In my free time, I’m often in the studio making music, playing piano, and singing. Besides this slightly out-of-hand hobby, I enjoy weekend getaways with my family, am a BBQ enthusiast, and row whenever I can.

Before Picqer, I worked at a software company specializing in fleet management solutions for the transport industry. I focused on internal and external communication, marketing, and support. At Picqer, I’ve returned to my roots in sales, now as an Account Executive. I’ve worked in various sales roles across different levels and companies, and I really see my sales vision reflected at Picqer. We genuinely want to help e-commerce businesses—even if that means Picqer isn’t the right fit. We’re personal, engaged, and focused on learning and adding real value. That consultative, value-driven mindset is something I truly believe in. I’m excited to bring my experience and energy to the table and help elevate Sales even further at Picqer.

Arjan Reinders

Arjan

Hey! I’m Arjan and I started at Picqer on April 1st as an Event & Campaign Marketer.

For the past three years, I worked at an e-commerce marketing agency in Arnhem. Fun fact: in 2020, my girlfriend and I moved to Arnhem. I looked up our new street on Google Maps and saw the agency was located there. I applied on a whim and got the job. Walking to work? I highly recommend it.

There, I worked on rebrandings, strategic and tactical marketing, and organizing fun events and trade shows. Organizing events, in particular, gave me the most energy. When I saw the job opening at Picqer, I didn’t hesitate to reach out to Kay, who I knew from the Webwinkel Vakdagen. After a coffee and a few chats, I knew this was the right step at the right time.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching all kinds of sports—especially football, cycling, and Formula 1, which are all bookmarked on my remote. On Saturdays, I also play football with my friends at vv Dieren. I love cooking for friends, occasionally dive into a book, and am always up for a game of padel.

My first weeks here have already given me a lot of energy. I’m looking forward to organizing events for Picqer and meeting new people.

Noa Arkenaar

Noa

Hello! My name is Noa and I joined Picqer as a Support Specialist on May 1st. Over the past years, I’ve worked in several roles within Microsoft-related companies. I feel most at home when I can combine the social aspects of support with my technical skills. With a background in software development, I often serve as the link between the customer and the developer. Finding the right solution together is what energizes me.

I live in Cuijk with my partner, our 1-year-old daughter, and a house full of pets (a Labrador and two cats). On weekends, we enjoy long nature walks. I’m also a huge music fan—concerts and festivals are my happy place. Life without music? Not an option. So if you know a great band I should check out, let me know! I’m looking forward to mastering Picqer’s software and helping our users get the most out of it. With the support of my colleagues and the positive atmosphere I’ve experienced so far, I’m sure this will go great.

Martijn Otter

Martijn

Hi! My name is Martijn Otter and I joined Picqer on June 1st as a Senior Product Designer. I started designing digital interfaces over 12 years ago. Since then, I’ve freelanced for many companies and worked in a few short-term roles. I got my first taste of the e-commerce world while living in Canada and working at Shopify. Feels great to return to this sector.

Outside of work, I love helping entrepreneurs and students get started with their own businesses. I live in Hengelo with my girlfriend Dionne and our newborn son. He’ll be my biggest hobby project for a while, so my other hobbies are taking a backseat. I’m really into cars—whether it’s racing on a track, driving scenic backroads, or gaming on my racing sim. My sneaker collection is also getting big enough to need its own mini-warehouse.

The match with Picqer came from the shared focus on building a great product. After working with massive tech companies, I really wanted to return to a smaller team where we can make the product truly great. That’s something that often gets lost in big organizations. I’m looking forward to improving our software alongside the rest of the Picqer team.

Jodie Wijermars

Jodie

Hey! Since June, I’ve been part of Picqer’s four-person Marketing team as a Content Marketer. I first learned about Picqer through Jefta—initially my colleague in volunteer work, and now also here! Picqer’s core value “be human & do the right thing” came up in conversation and really stuck with me. During the application process and in my first days, I immediately noticed that it’s not just words. It’s lived out in everything the team does.

In my work, I’ll be creating content about how to run a warehouse as efficiently as possible and how to use our software to support that. My goal is to make complex topics easy to understand and fun to read. I enjoy crafting each message into the format and tone that fits best. My background in graphic design and communications will definitely help with that.

Outside of work, I’m usually outdoors—hiking or cycling. I love water and green spaces, so living in Arnhem is perfect. It also offers plenty of art, food, architecture, and history to explore. I regularly spend time with my favorite people, visit concerts (jazz/soul/funk/afro), or travel the world. There’s still so much to discover and learn…

I’m excited to dive into all things Picqer and warehouse-related. Everything I learn, I’ll be sharing with you in valuable content.
