Urgent Picklists
Picklists are displayed in order of arrival by default. As a webshop, you want to fulfill the oldest orders first.
However, sometimes you want to handle a newer picklist before others. This can be done by marking your picklist as urgent.
How to make a picklist urgent?
If you want to mark a picklist as urgent, you can do this in several ways:
- Click the 'Make urgent' button in a picklist
- In the picklist overview, select multiple picklists and then choose 'Make urgent' from the options at the bottom
- You can automatically make picklists urgent by setting rules based on specific conditions
- You can make picklists urgent through the API
How does it work?
Once a picklist is marked as 'urgent', it will appear at the top of the overview of picklists to be processed. Urgent picklists also appear at the top in the Picqer app, ensuring they are processed earlier in the warehouse.
Singles batches and combined picklists will also prioritize urgent picklists.
When to use urgent picklists?
Here are a few examples:
- Picklists being sent with same-day delivery, which have an earlier cut-off time
- A backorder for a customer that must be shipped today
- You promise faster delivery for one of your webshops
