How to delete locations

In Picqer, you can easily delete location(s). A location can only be deleted if it has no stock or linked products. Here’s how it works.

Deleting a specific location

To delete a single location, go to the location in Picqer and click the 'Delete' button in the top right corner.

Deleting multiple locations at once

If you want to delete multiple locations at once, you can use the 'Delete with underlying locations' option. To do this, navigate to the parent location in Picqer and click 'Delete with underlying locations' in the top right corner. All linked locations will be deleted at once.

If there are no parent locations, or if you want to delete multiple specific locations, follow the steps below.

Create a new location, for example with the title 'delete'.

Create a location export using the 'Import/Export > Export locations' button.

In the Excel file, change the parent location: set all locations you want to delete to have 'delete' as their parent location. Save the file.

Import the file via the 'Import/Export > Import locations' button.

Map the Excel columns to the fields in Picqer. A preview of the selected values will be shown on the right. Then go to the preview.

Check the preview.

Everything correct? Click Import locations. The changes will now be applied in Picqer. This may take a few minutes. The import runs in the background, so you can continue working in Picqer while it completes.

In Picqer, go to the 'delete' location. Click the 'Delete with underlying locations' button in the top right corner. All underlying locations you just assigned will be deleted.
