Ignore Product Codes

Some products you might not want to process in Picqer, for example, because you're fulfilling these products through another channel.

Setting products to inactive or not importing them won't solve this issue. Picqer automatically imports products from webshop orders that aren't already in Picqer. Inactive products will be reactivated by Picqer as soon as they appear in an order.

In Picqer, you can mark products as 'to be ignored' for a specific webshop. It doesn't matter if the product is already in Picqer.

  • If an order contains ignored products, Picqer will filter them out of the webshop order.
  • If an order consists only of ignored products, Picqer will skip the entire order.

When to ignore products in Picqer

Here are a few situations where it’s useful to ignore a product:

  • You sell services in addition to physical products, such as a course. If someone only purchases a service, there’s no need to create a picklist for it.
  • Drop shipments: you never fulfill certain products or orders yourself. However, if you do fulfill these products when stock levels are sufficient, ignoring them is not recommended.
  • As a fulfillment company, it may be the case that certain products are always delivered by the fulfillment client themselves.

How to ignore product codes in Picqer

Navigate to your webshop settings in Picqer.

Select the relevant webshop and then click 'Edit'.

Under the 'Products' section, you'll find the option 'Ignore products'.

Enter the product codes you wish to ignore, separated by a line break. You can also copy and paste a column from Excel.

Good to know

  • It’s possible for product codes to be present in Picqer while still being ignored. For example, you may sell them for webshop A, but not for webshop B. Any inventory changes in Picqer for this product won’t be sent back to webshop B.
  • If you’re using the Bol Retailer integration, ignoring products works slightly differently.
