Location notes
Sometimes it’s useful to add extra information to a location. For example, if the products at a location come from a different supplier or if you want this location to be used first. In Picqer, you can use location notes for this purpose.
What are location notes?
A location note is a note you create that is registered for a specific combination of a product and a location. Examples of notes include:
- Use this stock first
Tip: if you want to use the stock at a location first, you can mark this location as preferred. Learn more on our help page about preferred locations.
- Still needs a product label
- Purchase 20250101
- Delivery from supplier xyz
If you have multiple products stored at one location, the note will only be displayed for the product it is associated with.
Setting location notes
To set a location note, go to a product in Picqer. Scroll to the “Stock” section, where you will see all linked locations. Click the “...” next to the location and select “Edit note.” Enter your note and save.

Where is the note displayed?
Once you’ve added a note, it will be shown on the product page, the location page, and during stock movements.
