Frequently asked questions about Shopify
On this page
When is an order imported to Picqer?
We only import orders from Shopify with the fulfillment status "unfulfilled". You can set which payment statuses to import in your store settings in Picqer.
Without expected orders enabled: only orders with the financial status "paid" or "partially_refunded" are imported.
With expected orders enabled: in addition to "paid" and "partially_refunded", orders with the status "pending", "authorized" or "partially_paid" are also imported. These are added as expected orders. Once the order is paid, the status will automatically change to "processing".
How does Picqer handle partial shipments?
Picqer supports orders that are partially fulfilled. When importing orders from Shopify, we check the fulfillment status per product. If a product hasn’t been marked as fulfilled and requires physical delivery, we’ll import it into Picqer as part of the order.
We also take partial shipments into account when sending shipment updates back to Shopify. Updates are sent per product. Once the entire order is shipped, the order will be marked as "fulfilled" in Shopify.
What happens when an order is cancelled?
When an order is cancelled in Shopify, we cancel the corresponding order in Picqer in real time. This also applies to (partially) picked orders. Cancelling an order in Picqer has no effect on the order in Shopify.
Which bundle plugins does Picqer support?
Picqer supports the default Shopify Bundles plugin. When a product bundle is ordered, Picqer adds its components as individual product lines in the Picqer order. The bundle SKU itself does not need to exist in Picqer.
Besides the Shopify Bundles plugin, other third-party bundle plugins exist. Whether these work with Picqer depends on how the plugin functions. Since Picqer imports orders in real time, it’s essential that the plugin adds the components to the order immediately (without delay). Also, the bundle itself should not be added as a physical product with its own SKU.
As an alternative to bundle plugins, you can use virtual compositions in Picqer.
Which shipping options are supported?

An order has the status "order contains products without SKU". What should I do to get it imported?
This message means the order contains products without a SKU. Picqer can only import products that have a (unique) SKU in Shopify. Follow these steps to import the order:
In Shopify, go to the order mentioned in the Picqer message.
Review the products in the order. Shopify displays the SKU below or next to the product in grey. If you see products with no text shown there, those are likely missing a SKU.
Click on the product without a SKU and enter the SKU under the “Inventory” section. Save your changes.
Return to the order in Shopify. Click “Edit” and remove the product(s) without SKU. Then re-add them to the order. Save the order again.
After adding the SKU in Shopify, Picqer will automatically import the order. This may take a few minutes. You can also manually retry the import by clicking "retry" in the order status overview.
Why isn’t stock syncing correctly?
Stock mismatches between Picqer and Shopify can have several causes. First, check in your store settings in Picqer whether "Send stock changes to webshop" is set to "Yes". Then verify the following settings in Shopify:
