Frequently Asked Questions about shipping via bol
On this page
Why am I getting a different label than what’s set in my shipping profile?
When an order is shipped via bol, multiple types of shipping labels are often available. Picqer will attempt to select the label that best matches the preferences set in the chosen shipping profile. You can read more about this in the article Label selection and handover times using Shipping via bol.
Why is a picklist for a Vvb shipment automatically snoozed?
Orders with Vvb cannot always be shipped immediately. Bol indicates when a shipment can be handed over to a carrier and when it can be delivered to the customer. Picqer takes these moments into account. To ensure that your orders are never sent too early, we automatically snooze picklists with Vvb shipments until the time that bol allows you to ship them. You can read more about these settings in the article Label choice and handover times.
Why can I only choose Shipping via bol for some orders from bol and not for others?
In bol, you set for each product to use Shipping via bol. You are then required to ship this product using Shipping via bol. Picqer will automatically display only the shipping profiles for Shipping via bol.
If the order does not contain products that need to be shipped via bol, the order cannot be shipped via bol. In this case, Picqer will show the other available shipping profiles.
How do I process an order with both Vvb and non-Vvb products in Picqer?
Sometimes an order contains products that must be shipped via Shipping via Bol (Vvb) as well as products that need to be shipped differently. Depending on the situation, you can process this order in Picqer in different ways
1. All products (Vvb and non-Vvb) are on the same picklistIn this case, only a Vvb shipment (label) can be created. The non-Vvb products will be marked as shipped at bol using the same track & trace as the Vvb products.
If you want to ship the non-Vvb products separately, it is better to process them using a separate picklist. You do this by removing the non-VVB products from the picklist, causing them to go on backorder. When processing this backorder, a new picklist is created containing only the non-VVB products (see also situation 2).
2. The products are split across multiple picklistsThis can happen due to auto-split or a manual action.
- If a picklist contains Vvb products, you can create a Vvb shipment, and these will be marked as shipped at bol as usual.
- If a picklist contains only non-Vvb products, you can only choose a non-Vvb shipping method, and the products will be marked as shipped at bol using that method.
⚠ Note: A Vvb shipment can only be created once. Make sure all Vvb products are processed in a single picklist. If this is not possible, you will need to manually create a shipping label outside Picqer and mark the products as shipped at bol yourself.
Can I also use Shipping via bol+?
Picqer also supports the + version of Shipping via bol, Vvb+. Bol offers more options for how an order can be shipped. Based on the preferences set, Picqer will then make the best possible choice.
Can I use Vvb when importing bol orders through a feed manager or webshop?
Shipping via bol only works in combination with our bol retailer integration. For orders coming from other channels, such as through Lightspeed, Picqer does not receive enough information per product to create the Vvb shipment. Therefore, for Vvb, it is necessary that bol and Picqer are directly connected and that orders are imported by Picqer. However, it is possible to manage the products via a feed manager like Channable.
Can I add products to Vvb orders using rules?
For orders with Vvb shipments, it is not possible to add extra products to the order via a rule. When creating Vvb shipments, Picqer retrieves the corresponding order item from bol for each product on the picklist. If an item does not have an order item in the bol order, you will receive an error message in Picqer when trying to create a shipment.
