Connecting Shipping via bol

With the Shipping via bol (Vvb) integration, you process bol orders the same way as your other orders, but with bol's shipping labels.

Vvb only works for orders that come in through our bol Retailer integration, not for orders you create manually, through the API or through another store integration.

Preparation

Register for Vvb

Before you can start using Shipping via bol, you need to register your bol.com account for this service. You can do this via the bol.com partner platform, where you'll find all the information and terms for Shipping via bol. Once bol.com approves Vvb for your partner account, you can start shipping with Vvb. Picqer supports Vvb, Vvb compleet and Vvb+.

Set up products for Shipping via bol

In your bol.com seller account, go to 'My Products' and click on the pencil icon under 'Delivery Time'. There, choose the desired Vvb service. Want to convert multiple products at once? Select all items you want to change, click 'More bulk actions', select 'Change delivery time' and choose 'Use Shipping via bol'.

A product set to Vvb in bol must also be shipped with Vvb. If an order contains such a product, Picqer only shows your Shipping via bol shipping profiles. If the order has no Vvb products, it can't be shipped with Vvb and Picqer shows your other shipping profiles.

Tip: make sure to set the packaging dimensions correctly so that the right shipping labels are generated automatically. If the packaging dimensions are missing, bol.com will usually generate a parcel seal, even though the products might fit through the letterbox. Connect the shipping provider

In Picqer, go to Settings > Shipping providers > Add new shipping provider > Shipping via bol.

Give the shipping provider a name.

Click 'Save'.

Set up a shipping profile

Bol often offers several shipping labels per order, with different carriers and label types. In the shipping profile, choose your carrier under 'Preferred transporter' and the type of label under 'Preferred label type'. If you ship both mailbox packages and regular parcels, for example, create two separate profiles for them, just like you would for other shipping providers in Picqer.

If 'Use recommended label' is set to 'Yes, use label recommended by bol.com', Picqer uses the label bol recommends. If bol doesn't recommend a label, or the setting is 'No, select based on preferred transporter and type', Picqer picks the label that best matches your preferences. A label that meets bol's delivery promise takes priority. So Picqer might still choose a regular parcel instead of a mailbox package.

For DHL and Ampère, bol recommends a parcel by default. If you ship mailbox packages with these carriers, set 'Use recommended label' in that profile to 'No, select based on preferred transporter and type'.

Orders with Vvb and non-Vvb products

Sometimes an order contains products that must be shipped with Vvb as well as products you ship another way. How you process it depends on how the products are spread across picklists.

All products on one picklist: you can only create a Vvb shipment. The non-Vvb products are marked as shipped at bol with the same track & trace as the Vvb products. Want to ship the non-Vvb products separately? Split the picklist: click 'More', choose 'Split picklist' and enter the amounts for the non-Vvb products.
Products across several picklists: this can happen through autosplit or when you split the picklist yourself. For a picklist with Vvb products, you create a Vvb shipment, which is marked as shipped at bol as usual. For a picklist with only non-Vvb products, you choose another shipping method, and the products are marked as shipped at bol with that method.

Note: a Vvb shipment can only be created once, so make sure all Vvb products are on one picklist. If that isn't possible, create a shipping label for the remaining Vvb products outside Picqer and mark them as shipped at bol yourself.

Adding products to a Vvb order

A product you add to an order in Picqer is not part of the order at bol. When creating Vvb shipments, Picqer retrieves the matching order item from bol for each product on the picklist. If the added product is on the same picklist as the Vvb products, you get an error when creating the shipment.

If the added product is on a picklist of its own, Picqer shows your regular shipping profiles and does not report the shipment to bol.

Snooze until handover time
