Trusted IP addresses

Trusted IP addresses let you decide where your users can log in to Picqer from, for example only from your office, your warehouse or a fixed home office. You set up the list once and then choose, per user, whether the restriction applies to them.

Adding trusted IP addresses

Only administrators can add and delete trusted IP addresses.

Go to Settings > Trusted IP addresses and click 'Add IP address'.

Enter the 'IP address' and, if you like, a 'Description' such as "Utrecht warehouse". Only IPv4 addresses are accepted.

Click 'Add IP address'.

When you delete a trusted IP address, it can take up to 10 minutes before users can no longer log in from it.

Setting it per user

The list of trusted IP addresses only applies to users you turn the restriction on for. Open the user under Settings > Users, click 'Edit' and set 'Only login from allowed IPs' to 'Yes'. An administrator can do this, or a user with the 'Manage users' right. You can't turn it on for yourself.

If you turn this on before adding any trusted IP addresses, that user can't log in at all. Picqer shows a warning about this on the user's page.

Administrators can always log in from any IP address, so you can't accidentally lock yourself out. To add extra protection for administrators, use two-factor authentication.
