How do orders work in Picqer

An order shows which products a customer has purchased. It also immediately indicates whether the products are in stock, which picklist will be used for fulfillment, and the logbook shows everything that has happened with the order.

Orders from your webshop are imported automatically via the integration with Picqer. In addition, you can add orders in Picqer manually, via the customer portal or via the API.

Order statuses

Orders in Picqer can have the following statuses:

Expected

The expected status is used for orders that we have already seen in your webshop, but which have not yet been paid for by the customer. We do already allocate stock for the order, but the order will only move to status processing once it has been fully paid. If the payment fails, the status will change to cancelled.

If you want to ship an expected order, you can manually change the status to concept. Expected orders can also be automatically set to processing via our API.

Concept

An order can have the status concept. If your order has been imported via the webshop or customer portal, we automatically allocate stock. In a concept order, you can still change everything, such as the products, the warehouse it should be delivered from, and the prices. We do not create a picklist yet.

Processing

When the order is final, you can process orders with the concept status. The order will then receive the processing status. We will then create a picklist or backorder for the order. You can configure per webshop whether you want Picqer to automatically process orders. In most cases, we recommend this.

Completed

Once all products in the order have been shipped, the order will receive the completed status.

Paused

With pausing, you can temporarily set aside orders that cannot be processed. You can pause an order manually or automatically via rules in Picqer. When an order is paused, it receives the paused status.

Cancelled

When an order is cancelled, it receives the cancelled status. If an order is cancelled in the webshop, it will also be cancelled in Picqer. CCV and Shopware 5 & 6 are exceptions; Picqer cannot recognize cancellations from these platforms. Cancelling an order in Picqer does not affect the order in the webshop.
