Switch from a regular account to fulfilment
Switching your regular Picqer account to fulfilment? Follow the steps below that fit your situation. If you're still weighing up whether fulfilment is the right fit, read regular account versus fulfilment account first.
As a rule of thumb:
- Do you already have products or stores from other customers in your account? Then create a new account.
- Are all the products and orders in your account your own? Then you can convert your current account to fulfilment.
- Do you use custom or partner API integrations? Discuss the switch with the relevant software provider or developer beforehand, so they can adjust the integration if needed.
- Once your account has been converted to fulfilment, we can't convert it back to regular. You can always start a new regular Picqer account if you stop using fulfilment.

Create a new account
Create a new Picqer account and contact our support team with the request to convert this account to fulfilment.
Set up your account. Make sure to go through at least the following parts:
- General settings
- Create fulfilment customers
- Create users
- Connect shipping carriers
- Connect stores to the correct fulfilment customer (make sure to set the order import and stock updates to No)
- Import products via an export from your current account
- Import locations via an export from your current account
- Templates
- Rules
Plan the go-live with our support team. It works best if there are as few open orders and backorders as possible at the moment of go-live. During the go-live, we'll take care of the following:
- Set up printers and packing stations: we'll move your current PrintNode account to the new environment.
- Stock: we'll agree on a moment to import the stock from your regular Picqer account into the fulfilment account.
Convert your current account

Decide what you want to do with your existing products — you have two options:
Keep your own products set to "no fulfilment customer"
Your order history and reports keep working the way you're used to. The smart purchase advice also keeps working for your own products. You connect any new stores to a fulfilment customer.
Link your own products to a fulfilment customer
From the moment you switch, your own products are linked to your own fulfilment customer. This creates a hard cutoff at the moment of the switch. Orders placed before the switch aren't linked to a fulfilment customer, orders placed after the switch are.
