Singles Picking

As we announced yesterday at the very first Picqer Meet & Grill, today we’re launching Singles Picking. With Singles Picking, you can pick orders with just one product line 20 to 60 seconds faster.

59% are Singles

A full 59% of all picklists processed in Picqer over the past 12 months were Singles: picklists with only one product line. Picking these picklists can be much faster than multi-product orders, because you don’t have to keep products separated per order.

59% of picklists are singles

That’s why with Singles, you can gather all the products for multiple orders into one bin. At the packing table, Picqer will know which picklist each product belongs to.

With Singles, you can pick 50–150 picklists at once instead of just 12–20 if you need a separate bin for each.

How does it work?

There’s a new ‘Singles’ tab under picklists. Here, you can create a Singles Batch. Picqer will automatically find a group of picklists that consist of the same products and place them in one batch. The batch will show you the total quantities you need to pick.

Once you’ve gathered the products from the warehouse, head to your packing table. Open the batch and scan any product you’ve picked. Picqer will find the matching picklist, automatically create a shipment, and close the picklist. Your shipping label and any packing slip will be printed right away.

Then grab the next random product from your bin or cart and repeat. Continue until all products are packed.

Picqer App

Singles is also available in Picqer App. The app is now live in the iOS App Store, including support for Singles. This feature helps you collect the correct products in the warehouse. Once you’ve picked everything, head to the packing table to process the batch as described above.

We’re excited to hear what you think of Singles Picking!

CCV Shop integration

Today we’re launching a new standard webshop integration for Picqer: CCV Shop. The integration is available as an app in the CCV Shop App Store and was developed by Picqer.

CCV Shop

CCV Shop is a complete webshop platform from the Netherlands. You can set up a new store in a single day, with or without help from CCV’s team of experts. Founded in 1999, CCV Shop is one of the longest-standing platforms around.

Orders, stock and shipments

The CCV Shop integration works just like our other webshop integrations:

  • We import new products from CCV Shop
  • We import paid orders from CCV Shop
  • We sync shipping status and tracking codes back to CCV Shop
  • We update your CCV Shop stock levels in real time

Set up in 2 minutes

You can connect your CCV Shop to Picqer in just 2 minutes. Check out our support article for step-by-step instructions.

Why should I use a barcode scanner while picking?

Welcome to a new series: Ask Casper. In this series, I (Casper), co-founder of Picqer, answer your questions about warehouses, fulfillment and inventory management.

This week’s first question:
Scanning every product during picking takes time. So why should I use a barcode scanner?

Fully automatic shipping labels

How do you make one-click shipping labels even faster? By removing the one click. And now, we’ve truly got fully automatic shipping labels.

As soon as you scan the last product on the picklist with your barcode scanner, Picqer automatically creates the shipment. That shipment is then printed instantly using automatic printing.

Want to select a different shipping method instead? After scanning the last product, you have 2 seconds to move your mouse. This cancels the automatic creation, allowing you to manually choose another shipping method.

Automatic shipment creation is enabled by default for everyone. Prefer to create shipments manually? You can disable automatic shipments in the general settings.

Templates and order confirmations

Alongside the recently launched shipping notifications, today we’re introducing automatic order confirmations. With this feature, Picqer automatically sends an email to your customer confirming that their order has been received.

Dynamic content

You can fully customize the message text, just like with shipping notifications. Including ‘if-then’ conditions that let you adjust the content based on things like available stock or shipping method.

You can edit the text under Settings > Templates > Your template > Order confirmation. If you set the email to "Active" there, it will be automatically sent for every new order.

Prefer to send confirmations manually? That’s still possible from the order page. Just keep the Order Confirmation email in the template set to "Inactive" so it won’t be sent automatically.

Multiple templates

Do you have a Team plan or higher? Then you can now add extra templates. This allows you to create a different template for each webshop, for example.

Each template can have its own layout for documents like picklists and packing slips, and you can customize the content of your emails.

This helps you keep your customers even better—and more beautifully—informed about the status of their order.
