Connect MyParcel

With the MyParcel integration, you create shipping labels in Picqer through your own MyParcel account. You can ship with PostNL, DHL, DPD, UPS, GLS and Trunkrs, including outside the EU.

Preparation

To connect, you need your MyParcel username and an API key. You'll find the API key in the MyParcel Backoffice: click 'Integration' under your shop settings.

Connect the shipping provider

MyParcel only bills a label once you hand the parcel over to the carrier. That means you can create test labels for free, except with the digital stamp.

Set up a shipping profile

Once connected, you create a shipping profile. This is where you choose the carrier, the package type and the extra services that go on the label. Each combination is a separate shipping profile. Add more with 'Add shipping profile' and let a rule pick the right one.

You don't need a separate profile per country. MyParcel creates the right label based on the recipient's country.

Pickup points

If your customer picked a pickup point at checkout, Picqer automatically creates a pickup point shipment, with the extra services from your shipping profile. Without a pickup point, it becomes a regular shipment.

A shipment to a pickup point is always a standard or small parcel. If the profile is set to a mailbox parcel, Picqer sends a standard parcel instead. Delivery to a parcel locker isn't available through MyParcel.

A pickup point shipment only works if your store passes your customer's choice on. Which pickup points work depends on your store:

• Shopify: your customer can pick a pickup point from any carrier. Picqer ships the parcel with that carrier.
• Magento 2: your customer can pick a pickup point from any carrier.
  • If they pick a PostNL point, Picqer ships with the carrier from your shipping profile, so set your shipping profile to PostNL. You can assign this shipping profile with rules.
  • If they pick a point from another carrier, such as DHL, Picqer automatically ships with that carrier, whichever carrier you chose in your shipping profile.
• WooCommerce and Magento 1: only PostNL points in the Netherlands and Belgium work. Picqer ships with the carrier from your shipping profile, so set your shipping profile to PostNL.

Insured value

When insurance is switched on in the profile, Picqer passes on the purchase value of the products on the picklist. If a product has no purchase price, Picqer uses its selling price instead. For virtual compositions, the value of the composition counts, not that of its parts.

MyParcel insures in steps of 100, 250 and 500 euros, then in multiples of 500 euros. Picqer automatically picks the next step up, to a maximum of 5,000 euros. Outside the Netherlands and Belgium, the maximum is 500 euros.

Digital stamp

For a digital stamp, Picqer passes on the exact weight in grams. That's the weight shown when you create the shipment, which defaults to the weight of the picklist. MyParcel then places it in the right weight class. You'll find your rate per weight class in your MyParcel account.

You pay for a digital stamp as soon as you create the label, even if you never use it. It can't be cancelled.

Multiple boxes per shipment

You can send multiple boxes in one shipment with a standard parcel to the Netherlands or Belgium. Picqer then creates a single PDF with a label for each box. MyParcel doesn't support a weight per box, so the total weight goes on the first box.

Shipping outside the EU

When you ship to a country outside the EU customs union, Picqer automatically sends the customs details of the products on the picklist. The order number is used as the invoice number.

Labels for shipments outside the EU are A4, not A6. Make sure your packing station has a printer set up that prints A4.

MyParcel accepts up to five product lines on the customs declaration. If the picklist has more products, Picqer adds the value of the cheapest lines to the most expensive one until five are left. Read more about international shipments.
